Welcome
Our club was established in 2024, operating under the umbrella of Creative Frame CIC, a North East and North Yorkshire community organisation, focusing on well-being through creativity and activity. Janette is our Creative Director.
Stokesley Walking Football Club was established with a clear purpose; to build a welcoming community of walking footballers in Stokesley and the surrounding rural villages across the North East and North Yorkshire.
We are proud to offer an inclusive and supportive environment where individuals of all ages 18-70+, abilities and backgrounds, both male and female can take part in this growing sport.
Walking football is more than just a game. It promotes physical fitness, mental well-being and social connection. For many of our players participation offers renewed confidence, companionships, and the chance to be active in a safe, enjoyable and structured way. Our philosophy embraces not only the benefits of sports but also the importance of community, friendship, and wellbeing.

Creative Frame CIC North East And North Yorkshire
Janette, our Creative Director for the North East and North Yorkshire, has developed these Parkinson’s walking football sessions. This is a great opportunity for anyone who has a Parkinson’s diagnosis, the aim is to gain a better understanding of why and how being active in sports, has a positive impact on delaying or slowing down the progression of the condition.
Working with the Parkinson’s community, we use football to aid balance and prevent falls. Falls are a significant concern for individuals living with Parkinson’s, with many experiencing at least one fall per year.
Short films highlighting the benefits of the Parkinson’s and Neurological football sessions, from the people who have attended.

Beacon Of Light – Sunderland
Stokesley Walking Football Club has been asked to come and play some friendly games to support North East Parkies United at the Beacon Of Light in Sunderland, to prepare their game plans for their upcoming first tournament held at St George’s Park, for a national Parkinson’s walking football competition, held over the easter bank-holiday weekend 2025.
Not only was the few training sessions a great success but with Janette our professional coach, devised a warm up and helped with team tactics with Northeast Parkies United team. From this, North East Parkies United joined the Creative Frame Tees Valley Summer League. This was the first able-bodied league they were able to compete in, with a very successful outcome.
